This Cookie Policy explains how AI Twin uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies, why they are used, and the choices available to you.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is processed in connection with AI Twin.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on or accessed from your browser or device when you visit a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, and related browser or device technologies.

Some technologies expire when you close your browser or tab, while others remain until they expire or are deleted.

First-party technologies are set by AI Twin or through its website. Third-party technologies may be provided by service providers, payment partners, advertising platforms, or sign-in providers.

  • Strictly Necessary - required for account security, authentication, purchase handoff, payment processing, membership access, and other core functionality.
  • Functional - used for onboarding state, quiz continuity, language and market settings, tutorial status, memory or feature notices, and other non-essential functionality.
  • Performance / Analytics - used to understand Service usage, identify technical issues, or improve functionality where such technologies are used.
  • Targeting / Advertising - used for campaign measurement, conversion attribution, retargeting, or advertising delivery where such technologies are used.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential analytics or advertising technologies and related server-side advertising measurement are used only after the applicable consent has been obtained.

3. Strictly Necessary Technologies

  • ai_twin_session — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Signed identifier connecting the browser to the AI Twin profile so conversations, memories and progress remain available. Type: First-party cookie. Essential: Yes. Duration: 1 year.
  • ai_twin_access — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Signed membership-access pass used after checking subscription status. Type: First-party cookie. Essential: Yes. Duration: 12 hours.
  • ai_twin_claim — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Short-lived signed reference connecting a quiz purchase to the account used to sign in. Type: First-party cookie. Essential: Yes. Duration: 30 minutes.
  • Supabase authentication — Provider: Supabase. Purpose: Authentication and sign-in session management for Google or Apple sign-in. Type: Authentication cookies. Essential: Yes. Duration: Up to 400 days or until sign-out.
  • Solidgate payment / card authentication — Provider: Solidgate / card issuer. Purpose: Payment processing, transaction authentication, 3-D Secure and fraud prevention. Type: Third-party technologies. Essential: Yes. Duration: Provider-controlled.

4. Functional Browser Storage

  • ai-twin-funnel-v1 — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Stores quiz answers, email address and current step so the quiz can continue where it was left. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin:funnel-backend:v1 — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Stores a random quiz-session identifier and pending answer updates until saved to the server. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin-funnel-recent-emails-v1 — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Stores up to five recently entered email addresses on the device for quiz suggestions. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin:funnel-locale:v1 — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Stores language and market version so content and pricing are shown for the appropriate region. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin-offer-deadline — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Stores the end time of the current offer countdown. Type: sessionStorage. Duration: Until tab is closed.
  • ai-twin:tutorial:v2 — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Records whether the app tutorial has been completed. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin:companion-notice:v1:<profile> — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Records whether the AI notice in chat has been dismissed for the profile. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin:funnel-dismissed — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Records whether the prompt to connect quiz results has been dismissed. Type: localStorage. Duration: Until cleared.
  • ai-twin:pending-funnel — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Temporary reference to a quiz session while results are connected to the app. Type: sessionStorage. Duration: Until tab is closed.
  • ai-twin:purchase-handoff:v1 — Provider: AI Twin. Purpose: Temporary reference to an order while the purchase is connected to the account. Type: sessionStorage. Duration: Until tab is closed.

5. Targeting / Advertising Technologies

  • _fbp — Provider: Meta. Purpose: Browser identifier used for advertising measurement and delivery through Meta Pixel. Type: First-party cookie. Duration: 90 days.
  • _fbc — Provider: Meta. Purpose: Stores the Meta ad-click identifier when a user arrives from a Meta advertisement. Type: First-party cookie. Duration: 90 days.
  • Meta cookies on Meta domains — Provider: Meta. Purpose: Meta-controlled cookies that may be used when a user has visited or is signed in to Meta services. Type: Third-party cookies. Duration: Meta-controlled.

AI Twin also sends certain purchase events from its servers to Meta through Meta Conversions API where enabled and permitted. The Conversions API is not a cookie.

The server-side purchase event may include purchase value, currency, product code, and hashed versions of the email address and a random session identifier for matching and attribution.

The content of quiz answers, conversations, journal entries, memories, Insights, or other reflections is not sent to Meta for advertising.

Where consent is required, related Meta Pixel and Conversions API advertising measurement is used only after the applicable consent has been provided.

6. Performance / Analytics Technologies

The AI Twin quiz website uses Microsoft Clarity for usage analytics. Microsoft Clarity is not used in the AI Twin app.

  • _clck — Provider: Microsoft Clarity. Purpose: Keeps the same Clarity user identifier across visits to the quiz website. Type: First-party cookie. Duration: 1 year.
  • _clsk — Provider: Microsoft Clarity. Purpose: Connects page views by the same visitor into one Clarity session. Type: First-party cookie. Duration: 1 day.
  • Microsoft cookies on Clarity and Microsoft domains — Provider: Microsoft. Purpose: Microsoft-controlled cookies, such as CLID and MUID, that Clarity may use to recognize the browser. Type: Third-party cookies. Duration: Microsoft-controlled.

Clarity records how the quiz website is used, such as pages viewed, clicks, taps, scrolling and the answer options selected, and creates session replays and heatmaps that help us understand usage and fix problems. Text typed into form fields, such as your email address, is masked before it is sent to Microsoft. Payment card details are entered in Solidgate's secure payment form and are not captured by Clarity.

Microsoft may also use data collected through Clarity for its own purposes, including site optimization, fraud and security purposes, and advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

If additional analytics cookies or similar technologies are introduced, they will be categorized and disclosed according to their actual provider, purpose, type, and retention period, and will be subject to consent where required by law.

7. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • keep accounts and profiles connected to the correct browser;
  • verify active membership and secure access;
  • connect quiz purchases to accounts;
  • support Google or Apple sign-in through Supabase;
  • process and authenticate payments through Solidgate and card-issuer security flows;
  • preserve quiz answers and progress on the device;
  • store language, market, tutorial, and feature-notice preferences;
  • support temporary purchase and quiz handoff between Service surfaces;
  • understand how visitors use the quiz website through Microsoft Clarity session replays and heatmaps; and
  • measure Meta advertising and conversion performance where permitted.

Where AI Twin asks for consent to non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, you may accept or decline them and, where available, later change your preference through the Service's cookie or privacy controls.

Strictly necessary technologies may continue to operate because they are required for essential Service functionality.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies and clear site data, including local storage and session storage. Clearing AI Twin site data may remove saved quiz progress, tutorial status, preferences, or other locally stored state on that device.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may sign you out or prevent account, membership, payment, or other core Service functionality from working correctly.

Meta advertising preferences may also be managed through the privacy and advertising controls available in the user's Meta account.

Declining non-essential analytics or advertising technologies does not prevent use of the core quiz or app features that do not depend on those technologies.

9. Third-Party Technologies

Some technologies described in this Policy are provided or controlled by third parties, including Supabase, Solidgate, card issuers, Google or Apple sign-in providers, Meta, and Microsoft (Clarity).

Third parties may independently process certain information under their own privacy notices where they determine their own purposes and means of processing.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies, browser-storage entries, advertising technologies, consent controls, service providers, or applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when this Policy was most recently revised.
